CB integration is using Joomla name fields

I have EB set to use CB integration. I've mapped these fields:

first name field = firstname
last name field = lastname

My name in Joomla is set to "John D Smith"
My name in CB is firstname = "John", lastname = "Smith"

However, my lastname in EB registrations comes up as "D Smith" and not just "Smith"

So I assume this means the CB lastname field (or both name fields) are using the Joomla fields and not CB.

This is in v1.6.5

any input on this? still happens in 1.6.9

yes, in the last name field that repopulates with CB content for an event registration

I think the reason is because the system is getting name from Joomla core name, not from CB firstname and last name for some reasons.

If we get the data from Joomla name, how can I know what's first name and what's last name from a name like "John D Smith" ?
