Custom Fields Not Appearing in Admin Console

I've created custom fields which work perfectly on the public facing pages, but when one of my admins goes in to do a new registration for someone via the admin console, the fields don't appear on the form. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Hi Laura

Please save the registration record and edit it again, then custom field will appear. The reason it doesn't appear is because the first time when you press new button, the system don't know what event you add registrants to, so it don't know what custom fields to display at that stage.

It can only display custom fields after you saved the registration record.
