Event booking: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file was created by Kelli
I have just purchased the update for Event Booking and am receiving the error: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file, when trying to install the plugin file. I have extracted the files in the joomla 2.5_3.0 folder. The module file installed fine.
Also, once I upgraded to the newer version, my events no longer go to the registration form, just a blank page. I have upcoming events that are time sensitive.

For install new version, please follow the instruction at
documentation.joomdonation.com/2-events-.../2-installation.html
. You don't need to unzip the file in the joomla_2.5+3.x folder. Just install it as a single package and all the component, modules, plugins come with the extnesion will be installed automatically. No need to install it separately
For the issue with blank page, as we pointed out, you had custom field with blank name and title and that's the rason causing the error. We removed that field and It works well now

I have downloaded the latest version (1.6.6) and updated/installed the \Joomla 2.5_3.0\com_eventbooking.zip without a problem.
However, in the same /Joomla 2.5_3.0 folder is a plug_cb_ebregistrationhistory.zip file. This will not update/install and errors with the message "JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file".
I did not find the same files that exists in the plug_cb_ebregistrationhistory.zip inside of the extracted files from the \com_eventbooking.zip files. Should I create an XML setup file to install this plug-in, or is it not necessary for the Event Booking component?

Hi Judy
Please see documentation.joomdonation.com/2-events-...ation-history-plugin .
I guess in your case, it is not needed to install.
