Hi,

I was wondering if there was good way to set up an event that runs for 3 months.

Can someone give a me some help with this or a link to best practices?

Thanks,

John

Hi John

The best way is setup recurring events. Please look at the documentation at documentation.joomdonation.com/2-events-...ing-recurring-events to understand how to setup recurring events and setup it to your site.

Tuan

Hi Tuan,

I have done this and I have 4 weekly events. But this makes my menu link obsolete as I get this error
\
1064
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 3 SQL=SELECT name FROM ozqbp_eb_categories WHERE id=

I just need the event to show in the event list for each month and I can update the menu if I need to

I had to delete the event so I could get a new one working.

So the issue becomes this. How do I link to the event?

If I use the menu link it becomes outdated every week.

So If I have a menu link to a static page, then I have to update the register link on that static page every week, But I don't know what the new URL will be.

Which makes me ask, what is the best way to create an event that occurs over 3 months and still allow the links work with out having to update them all the time

Also, the date range - if I start an event today and say it ends in a month - that will not work? right?
