Images Disappearing in Default Layout was created by Winston Baccus
They're still a part of the events when I go to edit the event in the front end or back end.
When viewing them in the default category view or in details view, they have no image displayed.

That's strange. Could you please submit a support ticket sending us admin and FTP account of the site, the link to the page. We will check to see what's wrong and get it corrected for you.

I figured it out.
I assumed that when you upload a thumbnail, that it would rename and store the photo like K2 does.
I was duplicating my events, removing the photo and then adding a new event so that I could clone items quickly.
I figured out that I was just uploading photos and then deleting them as I went by doing that.

Ah
When you copy the event, the thumbnail of the copied event will be the same as the original event. Since you choose to remove the thumbnail of the copied event, the thumbnail of the original event will be deleted as well (because they have same name).
So in this case, if you copy an event, simply uploading new thumbnail for the copied event, don't choose to del the current thumbnail and there won't be no error.
