Event Booking causing THOUSANDS of duplicate pages

I have been going crazy trying to figure out why my website is not coming up in any searches. After running the site through an SEO tool, I found the Event Calendar is created THOUSANDS of duplicate pages!! The tool stopped counting after 10k! How do I stop Event pages from being indexed? Search engines cannot even find my site because of this. If there is no way to resolve this problem, this extension is unusable.

I am not using and SEO extensions.

What version of the extension you are using? Could you please let me know the sample of duplicate pages so that I can have a look at it to see what's wrong and get it corrected for you (please make sure you are using latest version 1.6.2 as we implemented a proper SEF router in this version and the above problem should not happen).

I am running 1.6.2.

Attached is the results of a Moz crawl. Although actually these pages may not be duplicate, why on earth would there be over 9k pages related to the Event Booking component? This makes it harder for the site to be indexed properly.

Hmm. Seems I didn't receive it. Also, I think I know the result of this problem. The calendar allows you navigate between months and years. So the Moz crawl can navigate to any page it wants and it will cause many pages issue being indexed.

Maybe you will have to find a way so that it doesn't index the calendar related pages ?

Thanks Tuan. I added a no index no follow in the menu item for the calendar. I hope that does the trick.

Is there a way to limit the calendar so it is no searchable for years?

I think we can find a way so that the Year navigate link only clickable for the year which has events on it. But this will require some time of working. I am going to work on it after new year holiday ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_New_Year ) as our company is going to have new year holiday for 10 days from Wednesday next week !
