Could not instantiate mail function was created by Marco Pusceddu
I have a problem with confirmation e-mail and e-mail sending from Event Booking in general.
Whenever Event Booking tries to send an e-mail (for instance, from Mass Mail or after an event subscription), I get the following error:
"Could not instantiate mail function"
Should I check PHP settings?
I entered my e-mail addresses in Configuration -> Messages settings, as suggested in the tutorial, but I'm still getting the error.
In the attached picture you'll see my Joomla mail settings.

Hi
That means your mail settings in your server is not correct. Go to Site -> Global Configuration, there is a "Mail Settings" section which allows you to change mail settings. There are 3 options :
1- Use PHP mail
2- Use Send Mail
3- Use STMP
Please try to change settings to find the one whcih works on your server. If it is needed, you can contact your hosting provider and ask them to check it for you.
After you change the settings, you can go to Users Manager from back-end, create new user. If that new user receive email, your setting is correct. If not, it is not correct and you will need to use a different option.
