Email Required was created by Casey Dalpias
I have set email required to NO in the group member fields settings, but it is still showing up as required on each member. I also tried turning off "send confirmation to each member" thinking maybe this was forcing the email to be required. Any ideas of what else I can try, or information you would need to help me out?

Hi
Where do you change the settings ? Please make sure you edit the event to change settings. Change settings in Configuration only affect new events.
Please do that, check it again and let me know the result !

Right after I posted that I thought of something. Could it be because I have the Acymailing Plugin running to add them to a newsletter?

Thanks , nice find. it is a bug in the extension and I fixed it. Please get this zip file, unzip it, then upload the file to components/com_eventbooking/views/register/tmpl folder.
After that, it will work as expected.
