Is there a way to have two languages in a single event, so that in the first page you would choose which of the two languages you want to use ?

Hi

If your site is multilingual, when you create an event, you will be able to choose the language for that event . When users browse for your site, they will need to choose a language (this is a Joomla core feature) and then the system will only display events for that selected language.
