Category display problems was created by Vidar Broks Dahl
Hi!
I have just bought the Event Booking extension for Joomla, but I can't get it to work the logical way I want it to.
My company has several local offices that arranges events. I have created one category for each local office, and sub-categories for the different types of events. The actual events are located within these sub-categories.
Now, on the article page for each local office, I would like to display a list of that local office's event types (that is, the sub-categories). When a customer clicks on an event category, a list of events within that category should appear.
In other words, I would like to display, within an article, one specific category's (that local office's) sub-categories. When clicking on one of the sub-categories, I would like to display a list of up-coming events within that category, to which customers could register.
The last couple of days I've been pulling my hair out trying to get this to work, but I just can't figure out how. I'm quite frustrated. There must be some way to get this to work. So far I am quite unhappy with this extension, so I hope someone could please help me achieve this, and change my view to positive.
Thank you!

Hi Vidar
Unfortunately, at the moment, the extension doesn't have a content plugin to display sub-categories within a Joomla article. So in this case, there are two choices :
1. We will need to developing a content plugin to allow display sub-categories of a category in an article. Developing a plugin like that will cost you about 40$.
2. You will need to insert the link to the category manually into the article using the HTML editor of Joomla. The link to up-coming events page of a category has this format:
index.php?option=com_eventbooking&view=upcomingevents&id=ID_OF_THE_EVENT
Hope my answer is clear to you and give you alitle idea.
Regards,
Tuan
