REGISTER button to go to URL not register form

I am using the event bookings system, but do not need people to register for events so I would like the button REGISTER (Individual) to go to an different url - www.mysite.dom/membership.html - How can I do this?

I think the solution would be :

1. Edit the event, set Registration Type to "Disable Registration" so that the register buttons won't be disabled.

2. Put the link to Register for the event in the description field of the event. Users can then click on that link to register for your events.
