Repeating events not working correctly

I am trying to schedule an event to repeat every week, on Mondays, until December 31, 2013.

I set the Event Start Date to November 11, 2013 and left the Event End Date blank. In the Recurring Settings, I set to repeat every week on Monday only until December 31, 2013 (see screen shot). When I saved, the End Date was populated with November 16, 2013. In the calendar, the event displays every day from November 11, 2013 until November 16, 2013, not every Monday until December 31, 2013 as I anticipated.

I then changed the End Date to November 11, 2013 to see if that would fix the problem (and checked the Update Children Events option), but now the event only displays on November 11, 2013.

I discovered what I needed to do to get this to work. I had to specify the End Date as the same as the Start Date and the End Date had to have a time associated with it.

Basically, when you create a recurring event, you still need to specify the end date. The recurring frequency settings will only be used to calculate start date of next event. The start date and end date of the recurring setting will be used to calculate the end date of the children event....

I am trying to schedule an event on six days of the week. Monday thru Saturday. The screen shot shows that I have a beginning and end time for the event. I also have selected the proper days and a "Recurring ending" date.
I have not been able to generate any 'child' events even after checking the "update child events" check box.
The time interval is only 45 minutes and I will need 16 more of these time slots every week/day.
Based on previous forum discussion I should be OK. Please advise

Starting fresh with a new event creating child events works fine however if I need to make ANY changes to the parent none of them seem to update.
This also means that I can't duplicate an event and get the create child function to work. This was my original problem.
Is there any way to get the child events to pick up changes to the parent? Once set up I will need to change the dates and re-extend to more dates.

For recurring events, you will be able to change the title, description, price.... However, for the event date, it could not be changed. When you change date for parent event, it is very difficult for the system to determine what children event is the existing (to update) and what children event is new....

So for recurring events, please make sure the date settings are correct because once it is created, you will be able to edit the date to change the settings.
