Upcomming events and SEF uRLS

We have picked up an interesting problem with the upcoming events module of Events booking.

Our website uses Joomlqa 3 with SEF URLS enabled.

The problem comes up when we create events with the same name. the upcoming events moidule pulls the event details correctly
e.g. www.clubpoizon.co.za/index.php/events/ev...ials/kiwiklub-social

Unfortunately, the prior event was also called kiwiklub-social so when you click on the link, it loads the old event instead of the new one.

We can overcome this by creating the events with a different name, but thats not an ideal situation as it means that the people creating events now how something else to remember. Nor do we want to use repeating events since sometimes the event days are changed (to adapt for public holidays, special conditions for the event etc)

Any idea of how we can resolve this?

Just go to Events Booking -> Configuration, look at SEF Router Settings tab, set Insert Event ID config option to Yes. After that, check it again and it should work as expected !

Don't know I missed this but thank you.

It is because we implemented new SEF router (from version 1.6.1) for better, friendly urls. So if you have events with same title, you need to set that option to Yes !

I have event details page not display when sef urls on. I check router.php But event id not getting. I changed configuration insert event id in router settings. but I have same problem with the past events it is working fine for featured events. please suggest to me.

I enable SEF Then event details page not working. when I check Router.php file event id not getting when SEF on.

That's strange. Could you please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site so that I can check?
