add registration tab 'Register-Family' was created by Lillian Fidler
I want to add a tab - (register-family) and I also want to be able to change the text: 'event properties' to 'event information'

Hi

You can go to Events booking->Translation, find the text and change it (it seems you changed it). However, if you want to add a new button, it will not be possible.
