upcoming events - not showing - strange behavior was created by Thilo Schnell
Sorry - seems that i'm kind of spaming that board in the last minutes with my problems...
I have the following configuration of categories:
root
- category 1 (0 events)
-- subcategory 1-1 (8 events)
-- subcategory 1-2 (5 events)
.....
- category 2 (12 events)
if i create a new menu entry of the type "upcoming events" and i chose the "category 1" it won't show any events.
if i create the same menu entry but chose "root" instead of "category 1" it shows every event.
"category 1" and all its subcategories with its events are published. (otherwise they wouldn't be displayed by chosing the "root" category)
And in the "configuration -> themes" i have activated "show empty categories".
Maybe i should mention that i created the "category 1" in the end - and then rearranged the "subcategories 1-1", "1-2"... , so that those are child-categories. By doing this, category 1 has the id "10" and it's child-categories have lower ids like "4" "5" and so on. (Could that be a problem ?)
sorry for my english
hope it's clear what i mean...

Hi
When you choose category 1, only the events which are assigned directly to that category will be showed (not events from it's sub-category). Events which are assigned to sub-categories won't be showed.
In this case, maybe you can edit all the events from category 1-1, assign it to both category-11 and category1 (Events Booking allows you to assign one event to different categories).
After that, it will work as expected !
Regards,
Tuan
