Well if you make a new menu item of the type "calendar" it now shows all the categories on the calendar when clicking on the menu item. I need the option to show only a specific category on this calendar view. I guess other people will find this usefull too.

Unfortunately, the calendar layout for a category doesn't have weekly and daily view option like in the main calendar. So I think you will have to find a different solution !
