Strange errors was created by Petter
Hi,
I have had two strange errors the past few days; first I receive a notification for payment from a customer, but no message about a new registrant, nor is the customer listed as a registrant in admin. Today a customer tried several times to register but got an error at PayPal; this customer is also not listed as a registrant in admin. For both these all data is visible in the db, in fact I now see several listings that has 0 or NULL in the row published.
What can be causing this?

For the first customer mentioned above I changed the value to 1 (in phpMyAdmin) and now it is in the list of registrants as it should; so there must have been a glitch somewhere; between PayPal and EB maybe?

It seems there is something wrong when Paypal communitcate with EB to notify about the payment. Does it happens for all customers or just with this special customer ? Maybe you can wait for one more registrants before we check it again ?

Hi Tuan,
It has only happened with two customers that I know of; I just hope no others have had problems earlier on in the process (before anything is written to the db). I found several "double" listings in the db, which possible can be caused by a lot of different things ex. customer aborting and returning later for completion of booking etc. etc.
I have had successful bookings both before and after.
Rgds,
Petter

Then everything is still good. There are two reasons can cause the error in this case :
1. Customers aborted the payment when they are redirected to Paypal page.
2. Sometime customer make payment but there is difficult in communication between Paypal and EB (rarely happen) and we will have to live with it (it sometime happens with us as well). In this case, we have no way to solve it because we don't know why in this case (as I said, rarely happens) EB and Paypal could not communicate at this time.
If you want to view the Pending record (and then maybe change the status from Pending to Paid), go to Events Booking -> Configuration, find the config option Show Pending Registrants , set it to Yes.
