Try this in configuration:
Date Format d-m-Y
Event Date Format d-m-Y G:i

You can go to Events Booking->Configuration, find the Event Date Format config option, set it to :
%m-%d-%Y %H:%M
For list of supported parameters, please see php.net/manual/en/function.strftime.php

Thanks Petter for the answer. But this setting will work for Joomla 2.5/3.0, not for Joomla 1.5 .
