Removing category name from heading was created by JustMe
Hi,

Is it possible to remove event category name and the dash before it in the H1 heading under the secondarypagecontent div without making core modifications, just by using template overrides?

Thank you!

Tuan,

thank you for your response, take a look here - bit.ly/1401J98 , the "-Member" portion is not part of the event title, it's the event category.

Thanks again!

Hi

I believe you entered it in the title of the event. If you haven't entered it in the title of event, there must be someone customized code for you. Please submit a support ticket sending us administrator account of your site so that I can check and remove the title for you.

Regards,

Tuan

Tuan,

Thank you. No, it wasn't entered like that in the title, you can actually see the event title right below the heading - it's the same thing only without the "-Member" at the end. There are a few minor template overrides but nothing is customized that would have affected this. I have no problem giving you access to the admin panel, just not on a public forum and I didn't see an option to send a private message.

This heading doesn't come from the event page, it comes from Joomla. Before I removed the title from Event Booking component it was actually showing up twice (see attachment). The top one from Joomla, the bottom one from the component. So, the component displays it just fine but "reports" it to Joomla with category name appended. I was looking for a way to remove the one from Joomla but couldn't find that option.

I actually came up with a quick hack to fix it - a few lines of JavaScript to find the header and replace the category and the dash with a blank string.

Thanks for your time!

I think I have some clue about this. Please access to Support Tickets menu item at the top of this site, submit a support ticket sending me administrator and FTP account of your site.

Also, please remove the javascript code you added. I will check and solve the issue for you.
