admin cannot submit new events on frontend was created by Websquirrel
Hello,
we experience an issue with submission rights. My customers has admin rights and would of course like to edit and submit events in frontend. But it does not work, it always ends up in an error message, that says something about too many redirects.
I looked into configuration in backend and found the options button where it seems that rights are to be set. But whenever I set administrator rights for frontend submission to "allowed" and click "save" the content of that window switches to joomla global configuration which cannot be saved on that website because of another joomla issue (too many user groups).
Is there any possibility to allow administrators to submit events in frontend, too?

Hi
If you cannot save the permission settings because your site has so many groups (this bug is something related to limitation of Joomla), I think you will need to edit code to allows administrator to submit events. Do you know programming ? Please try to look at the file components/com_eventbooking/helper/helper.php, find the function checkAddEvent and customize it .
Regards,
Tuan

Hello Tuan,
thank you for your quick and detailed reply.
I am afraid I do not know enough about coding to customize that function properly. Could you give me please that piece of code that is needed to insert into that helper.php so that admin may submit events from frontend?
Thank you.
