Not able to upgrade???

Hello everyone!!

I'm paying to get Events Booking customized with the following:

- people will be able to look for events depending on city, state, or a radius (in miles) from a specific ZIP code.
- people will be able to click on a button to add a new "discount price" with description of that field.
- people will be able to find events depending on a price range, number of credits issued, or format of the event (live, webinar, book-based, etc).

The problem I'm having is that the developer told me that after these customization I will not be able to upgrade Events Booking in the future when a new version is released. I'm very sad about that. Does anybody know if this is true? Is it possible to upgrade in the future and still keep the customization?

I'm not a developer and the help from this community is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!!!

Unfortunately, if you customize the extension, you won't be able to upgrade to future release of the extension because when you upgrade, all the custom modification will be lost .

However, I can tell you that the current version of Events Booking is very stable. so you can stay with the current version (unless you upgrade to Joomla 4.0.x in the future).
