Question about Paypal

We have had a few customers who have paid via PayPal for an event registration. They show up on PayPal, but although their details are shown in Events Booking, they are shown as unregistered, and they have not had any email confirmations.

Do you have any idea why ths might have occurred? It's quite urgent really.

There are two reasons for this issue:

1. Your Paypal account has IPN disabled. To check it, could you please login to your Paypal account, access to History->IPN history to see whether there are any IPN messages. If there are, what is the status of the message.

2. Your site has a security plugin installed like RS Firewall or Admin Tools Pro. Usually, these plugins block Paypal IPN messages and it causes the issue. To solve it, simply try to unpublish these plugins and check it again.

Payment Status shows completed, but the transaction in IPN history shows retrying. Some transactions have gone through, but some don't.

What URL should I put in the IPN notification area. It shows IPN as off, so I guess that is possibly the problem?

You can put yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_eventb...ent_method=os_paypal into the Notification URL (replace yoursite.com with the domain of your site).

I put that code in, but registrations are still not coming through. We spoke to one delegate, and they have received the PayPal email, but nothing from the web site, and they are showing as unregistered.

To save time solving the issue, could you please submit a support ticket sending me administrator and FTP account of your site so that I can check ?

Also, after you completed payment, do you see any IPN message in the IPN History ?

There is an IPN message with the payment details showing in IPN history, but the status is still retrying.
