Help for New User was created by Ed
Greetings,
I just purchased and installed Event Booking component today and it looks like it will work for my intended purposes. I do have some questions that have come up during initial evaluation.
1) How can I turn off the "Export Registrants" link on the registration page? I don't want site visitors to be able to see list of registrants.
2) Would it be possible to have the "Registrant List" link to be visible for only Manager Group? It seems the only option is on or off.
3) I need the "Early Bird" discount as well as "Group Discount", but I don't want the Group that registers early to also get the "Early Bird" discount. Any way to accomplish that?
4) I set up the PayPal plugin and created a registration. Then canceled the payment at PayPal login page before logging in. I was returned to my site with Error 1064, which is an SQL error. Did I forget to set something up properly? I didn't see anywhere to set a return URL so don't know if that might be the problem.
This component seems to be perfect for my needs and I like the way events are presented, so hope these issues can be resolved.
Regards,
Ed

I found the answer to #2 and think I have a work-around for #3, but still need a way to disable CVS export from front-end, except by manager group.
I tried the Paypal link again and got the same error. Here is the full error message:
Error: 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 1 SQL=DELETE FROM v1u8s_eb_field_values WHERE registrant_id IN()

Sorry, I thought I answered this forum post already. Maybe I forgot to press the SUBMIT button. Here are my answer again :
1. => This is handled by "Front-end Registrants Managemen" permission in Events Booking. So you can go to Events Booking -> Configuration, click on Options button in the toolbar, click on Public Group, set "Front-end Registrants Managemen" permission to Denied. After that, no-one can use CSV export feature in the front-end (the permission for other groups are inherited from Public group, BTW).
3 => Unfortunately, it is not possible.
4=> That's strange. Could you please submit a support ticket sending me administrator and FTP account of your site so that I can check and solve the issue directly on your site ?

Thanks for getting back to me on this.
1) Is working OK. For some reason one of my registrants had Manager rights assigned, even though it was not assigned in User Manager. Not sure how that happened, but new users seem to work properly. These are test users that will be deleted anyway, so we're good here.
3) I've got this one figured out.
4) Still a problem. I set up the Paypal sandbox account and I'm still getting the error when the transaction is cancelled BEFORE logging in to Paypal. If the payment is made, everything works as expected. I will create a ticket with login credentials.
Regards,
Ed

Hi Tuan,
Have you had a chance to check the issues reported in support ticket #8848? I don't like to leave ftp and manager access open too long, so please let me know if you still need access to the site.
Regards,
Ed

Hi
Did you see my response for the ticket? I believe I checked and replied you from Yesterday. The issue with error when pressing cancel button from Paypal plugin is fixed. For the plugin which list events from a category in a Joomla article, I will work on it this week.

Tuan,
I did not receive any response to my ticket and just checked your support tickets page and don't see anything there either. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Thanks for fixing the Paypal issue and I look forward to a solution for the Event List plugin.

Hi Tuan,
Just checking to see if you had a chance to look at the events_list plugin yet. That's the last piece I need to get working before presenting the site to my client.

Ed
