Error Message: Could Not Instantiate Mail Functio

I am receiving the error message "could not instantiate mail function" when I register for an event using Event Booking. I do have the notification email set and PHPMail selected in the Global Configuration settings. What else can cause this error message?

That means the mail function doesn't work properly on your site. Joomla provides different mail options, maybe you can switch to use SendMail or SMTP options to see which one works on your site.

My auto email invoice function used to work. Not sure why it didnt work now.

I am getting the same error message (Could not instantiate mail function) on each new registration and notice there is no auto email(invoice) send to the newly registered member.

I have also logged a ticker #11531. Any idea how to resolve this ? Thanks

Hi Tuan ,

My issue was resolved after i change the Joomla mail settings, mailer from "php mail" to "smtp".

Great Richard ! Sorry for could not reply you earlier. Busy with new version of Events Booking (there were some small bugs discovered and I had to spend time to fix it).
