I found a related post here: joomdonation.com/62-general-discussion/8...g-custom-fields.html

I took your fields.xml file, changed the field names and uploaded it to my site replacing the default fields.xml file. It crashed the site.

I looked in the extra tab and no fields were listed.

Here is my problem. I'm trying to set up an event. During the event, we charge for admission. Sellers at the event are charged a fee per table. During user registration in the front end, I need to be able to show the following:

Entry Fee
Number of Tables Remaining (this is the number of tables available for purchase. Something like event Capacity)
Number of Tables to Purchase (this is the number of tables the seller wishes to purchase)

The total cost would include the entry fee plus the number of tables purchased.
A default number of tables is set when the event is scheduled.

I've tried several methods and I admit, I'm not very XML smart. I hope I've explained this well enough. If you can help me with some custom work I'd appreciate it. If you can think of a better way please let me know.
