List event by category was created by pse
I created events last year and listed the event by category on an article. I cannot remember how I did it to add a new event onto an article this year. I created a link on an article that says "register here". It then takes them to page with the short description and a link to register. Can someone refresh my memory as to how I set this up.
Thanks,
Tracy

Hi Tracy
The link to each event has the following format : index.php?option=com_eventbooking&task=view_event&event_id=ID_OF_THE_EVENT. Maybe you can create a send link in the article which link to the second event so that users can click on to register ?

Hi Tuan,
If I link to an event like you suggest the detailed description shows up and all I want is the short description. The one I did last year has the code like this - index.php?option=com_eventbooking&view=category&Itemid=3424. Now I have a new category that I want to show on the article. However, I cannot remember how to find that number "3424".
Thanks,
Tracy

Hi Tracy
You can send me administrator account of your site so that I can check it for you. Maybe you created a menu item to link to category view of Events Booking (you can check the menu item with ID = 3424 to see that menu settings).
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
You are right. There is a menu item and that is how it was set up last year. Thank you so much for all your help.
Thanks,
Tracy
