EB - Events in multiple weeks was created by Shawn
Hello;
Not sure what I am doing wrong. I have an event that needs to run on each Tuesday for 4 weeks. I activated the recurring event option in the config menu, then created my event, setting the start and end date as the same day, and set recurring to every Tuesday, ending the day after the last event. So far so good, but when you go and look at it, in table view, there are 4 events showing up, not just the one event that has 4 days to it. And when you try to register for it, you are only registering for that one day?????
If I register for the first day it works fine, but it let's me register for the other days as well and they are all set as free.
This does not work at all, it needs to be showing up once in table view, and allowing you register once for the 4 days.
In calendar view is shows up 4 times, that is fine, but it needs to show in the details that it is a 4 day workshop and that the cost is $120.00, not show that each day is it's own and you only pay if you register for the first day, but not for the others.
How can this be overcome, because as it stand this is not something I can use for recurring events.

Hi Shawn
You didn't do anything wrong. It is simply how the extension is designed to work. In Events Booking, when you create a recurring event, the extension will create multiple instances of that event (following the rules which you setup). A recurring event is not simply an event, it contains a parent event and multiple children events.
Since it is multiple instances of that event, each time you register you will only register for a specific event, you won't register for all instances of that event (4 events in your case).
In your case, maybe you can simply create one event and in the description of that event, you can tell registrants that it happens on 4 days...
Regards,
Tuan

You know, I had a feeling that was going to be the case, and your suggestion is exactly what I did.
Thanks
