Paypal IPN - one paypal account, multiple domains was created by Jono
Hi,
I've had some problems with Paypal notifications not being sent and have set the paypal ipn to my main domain name - so that works fine.
However, we have just setup a second web site with a different domain name - and want to use the same paypal account for the second web site. The problem is that it appears that it is only possible to setup 1 paypal ipn at a time - any times of what I can do to work around this?
Is the only solution to open a second paypal account to process the funds from the second web site?
Thanks so much,
Enoch / Ec Web

Hi Enoch
I think you won't have to open a second Paypal account. When someone try to register for event on your second website, Events Booking will send the URL which it wants to received notification to Paypal and Paypal will send notification to that URL (it is independent with the URL you setup on your Paypal account) .
So as I can see, you won't have to worry about it.

Hi Tuan,
Thanks so much for your reply.
I have tested your solution and the payment notifications are not coming through on the second domain.
I had some problem with paypal notifications earlier being blocked by Akeeba Admin tools - that is no longer a problem, but after this issue I think paypal forced me to use IPN urls - and notifications are not being sent without it.
Paypal says I can turn off IPN urls for my account - as long as your component does the following:
'IPNs triggered by the code (notify_url/NOTIFYURL) will still be sent normally but the Profile IPN will not be triggered.'
do you think this would work? Does your code include a notify_url?
Thanks so much - this is a bit beyond me,
Enoch
