Event: Capacity 3 but Registered 6

Bit of a problem but it might be because I only started using Event Booking yesterday.

More people can register than an event has capacity for.

This is what I did:

1. I created an event, and set the capacity to 3.
2. I registered 2 individuals.
3a. I registered a group of 2 from a computer.
3b. At the same time, I registered another group of 2 from another computer.

The total places registered was 6 but the capacity was only 3.

I intend to use Event Booking for a popular half marathon which will probably sell out the 250 places in 30 minutes of going live. I could do with this being resolved so I don't have too many people registered.

It seems your site has so many people register for the same events at the same time and it causes the issue. Could you please give me more information and wait me 2 or 3 days so that I can find a solution for this problem :

1. Is it a free or paid event ?

2. Do you have Activate Shopping Cart feature on your site or you only use Individual + Group registration options ?

When I practised it was:

1. A free event
2. No shopping cart. Individual and groups.

When it goes live:

1. Paid event.
2. No shopping cart. Payment by PayPal only. Individuals and groups (max 4).

I am still working on it at the moment. To be honest, it is difficult problem. The system will check the slots left when users register for the event to prevent number of registrants over the capacity. However, if your site has a very high traffic (for example, 10 users register in the same time but only 3 slots left, it will be over the capacity).

Please give me few more days to find best solution for this problem
