EB Reminder Glitch was created by spindoc99
ok, so i enabled the reminder plugin in version 1.4.1 and its sending out emails with the wrong event in the subject line, its showing the tag {registration_detail] and its sending hundreds of emails out to each student in a loop every thirty minutes.
Whats wrong with this? I had to turn it off, I had thousands and thousands of emails go out last night to people that shouldn't have gone.

Hi
If your site has a high traffic, we will need to find out a different way (using cron job feature). Please give me 2 or 3 more days so that I can have reminder feature activated using Cron job (not using EB Reminder plugin) .
Also, your version 1.4.1 is very old, so you should consider upgrade to latest version (1.5.0).
And for performance reason, we could not allow [REGISTRATION_DETAILS] tag in the reminder email. Only [FIRST_NAME], [LAST_NAME], [EVENT_TITLE], [EVENT_DATE] can be used for the email message .

Yes, I do have high traffic I guess you could say. I would appreciate that Tuan.I can't really upgrade because of all the customizations I have, but a better reminder with cron would be good. I guess couldn't I simply upgrade the reminder plugin only and not the entire script?
I look forward to seeing your answer.

Sorry, I added another forum post for this issue. Has anything come up for fixing this? Every time I turn on the eb reminder, the messages go out every thirty minutes and don't stop, each user just keeps getting repeats.

Hi
If you are using Joomla 2.5, please upgrade your site to latest version of Events Booking (version 1.5.3) and it will work as expected.

Hi, because of my customizations I can't upgrade. Would it be possible to tell me what files pertain directly to the remdinder so I can update those only? My version is 1.4.1.
