Featured Events Module

Hi, we know there is an event module that can be used to show upcoming events but is there or will there be a module to show selected events so that we can show featured events?

Unfortunately, it is not possible. Maybe you can customize the up comming events module, add a new parameter allow administrator to special ID of the events he want to show. If he entered data for this parameter, we will only show the the selected events in the module. If should not be difficult if you know Joomla programming.

Hi Tuan,

I know this is a very old post, but due to some massive migration, joomla 2.5. joomla 3.0 etc. It took us a very long time to come to some final version of our website, unfortunately, we do not know programming and it is just too bad we cannot add this parameter on our own, has there been any progress about any featured module in the meantime please?

There is not a featured events module yet. However, I think you can use the solution below to show your Featured events in a module :

1. Create a category called Featured Events.

2. Edit all the "featured events" you want, assign it to "Featured Events" category which you created.

3. Edit the up-coming events module, enter ID of the "Featured Events" category into Categories IDs parameter.

After that, the module will show the featured events.
