Event Booking allowing over registration

We recently had an issue were we pre-register 5 people and set the event booking for 62 and is sold 65 spots.

Do the pre-registered people count against the total -

Are there any defects where this can occur.

It was a major issue for us and we had to book a second room -

We used the backend to register five people before making the event registration open to the public

The registrants added via backend should be calculated as registrants as well. Could you please submit a support ticket so that I can check the issue directly on your site ?
