Allow a group to edit any events?

Is it possible to allow a group of users (say, Publishers) to edit any events regardless of who entered the event?

Our camera club has a group of individuals who are responsible for maintaining the meetings, workshops, and field trip events. We do not allow the general public to enter events (at this time). Would like the ability to allow these Publishers to update any event. Keeps it off the admins back and keeps these Publishers out of the back-end.

I'm assuming this is not possible now (haven't found a way yet). Any consideration for a future enhancement?

At the moment, yes, It is not possible. However, I will integrate it into future releases of the extension for sure (using Joomla 2.5 ACL - so hope you are using Joomla 2.5) .
