field won't go away from group member

i have field first name and last name (using community builder).

When someone registers a group, I do NOT want that name on the group registration, only want a custom field "player's name". But no matter what I do the field "first name" shows up on the member 1 information. How can I get this out of there?

First Name field is a required field (for management purpose) and that's the reason it cannot be removed .

Ok I understand. I have an event which parents would register their child. So my name field of user is the parent name (as they would get correspondence). Then I have a field "player name" which is where the child's name goes.

Is there any way to edit the fieldname so it says first (parent) and last (parent) or something like that, so they know to put parent name in there?

Or should i just leave it and let them put the child name there and disable the player name in the group registrations?

Any suggestions?

Just don't want it to be confusing when they download the CSV.
