Cannot add locations

I am testing Events Booking on my local server using Xampp and everything seems to be working fine, except I can not add any location.
I enter the fields, then click on Save: I get redirected to the /administrator/index.php page but it appears blank and the location is not saved.
The same problem occurs when I also enter latitude/longitude information.
I have already tried activating the System - Mootools Upgrade plugin (suggested for a similar issue) but no way.
Please help.

Yes. The function needs curl lib to be enabled. So if anyone has this issue, please contact your hosting provider to ask them to enable this library for you. After that, it will work as expected .

Yes Jason, I just activated the cUrl lib in the php.ini file of my local server (EasyPHP) by decommenting the corresponding code line and the problem disappeared.

Am I supposed to be able to display the events on a map? If so, how? I got past the issue of CURL.

Right now, you cannot display events on google map. The extension can only display event location on google map. When you are on event detail page, you can click on title of location to view this location on google map. An example can be found on this page eventbooking.joomdonation.org/index.php?...&event_id=1&Itemid=4
