Hello Tuan!

I've just purchased EB 1.4.5 for our new Joomla 2.5.4 installation. We are running EB1.3.2 on Joomla 1.5. Do I need to make any adjustments to the database tables in order to use them for the 1.4.5 Events Booking or can I just dump the data?

Thank you for your help with this!

Here's an update:

I've put the sql data into the new database tables, but although I can see the events listed in the admin as well as all the registrants, when i go to the site and click on the events menu item (with category selected) it says that there are no events in this category. I noticed on the sql files that (and this may be because of the earlier installation with tables still in the database with a different prefix) that the new and old prefixes were mixed up. So I'm thinking that although administrator is correct, the code to call the events in the category may be calling from the wrong table.

Where is that code?

Thanks,

Apologies for a second update:

In looking at the sql file for eb_events, I see that originally, the field for Category 1 is left at 0. Meanwhile in the eb_category_events all the fields are assigned to category #1. It works in the Joomla 1.5 installation but not in our Joomla 2.5. Further, I don't think that ignoring the inconsistency is wise.

Was this a bug in the 1.3.2 release?

Thanks for any info,
:(

Hi

The correct steps to migrate to Joomla 2.5 from 1.5 installation are :

1. Export all database tables related to Event Booking (tables with _eb_ prefix) from your Joomla 1.5 website and import it into Joomla 2.5 website.

2. After that, install latest version of Event Booking install the Joomla 2.5 site (please note you need to install latest version after the database have been imported) .

After that, it will work as expected. Could you please follow these steps and let me know the result ?

Tuan

Thanks Tuan,

I was already running Joomla 2.5.4 so I reinstalled the eb component (after importing all the events and registrants into the database tables) and that's fine now.

Unfortunately I am getting big black: INVALID URL instead of the like button for FB. which is next to the title

Also, the title is not linking back.

shorewalkers.org/memberships/new/index.p...w_event&event_id=230

Are these configuration issues?

Thanks for your help,
Sharonob

OK the FB button seems to be a problem on two accounts.

1. sometimes the url just doesn't work which may be more general than a problem with Events Booking.

2. The link on the event details page doesn't work and this may have something to do with the facebook link? I moved it over to the right but that didn't help.
Works:
shorewalkers.org/memberships/new/index.p...alkers-hiking-events

No link for eb title (same class):

shorewalkers.org/memberships/new/index.p...ew_event&event_id=32

The difference seems to be the FB widget.

Thanks as always for your help and if you prefer I can start another topic. I'm just trying to finish up this upgrade.
