forbidden error in place of registration module was created by Thomas Gerbrandt
error reads: Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Only on pages that the event registration module is called. index.php permission is set to 644. It's worked for a few months now and now this.
Here is the page.
here it the code entered in the joomla 2.5 article :
{component url='index.php?option=com_eventbooking&view=category&layout=table&category_id=7'}

I talked to the host company and it appears to be the mod_security must be disabled in .htaccess is this true or is there another way?

Hi Thomas
To be honest, I am not sure and it seems none client gets issue like this before. I also tried to go to your site to try to make to test registrations and everything works well. So I am not sure what's wrong here. Could you check it again ?

Hi, I am having this same problem with the error code.
In fact, I can still register no problem, as can other friends who I ask to test it. But I still have many clients phoning to say they get this error message at the last review step when they click the final registration button.
I have only just started using Event booking (and love it) and it was all going so well until this started happening. I haven't changed anything in my configurations that I am aware of.

Hi Sally
On your site, there are any special Joomla extension used (like SH404) or just use Joomla core components ?

We are not using any system like SH404, and even have SEF urls turned off. Also we are on joomla version 1.5.26 and are using the 1.5 version of your code. We have now turned off some unnecessary plugins.
This hasn't solved the problem. We still have some people registering just fine and others who cannot. I assume the 'copy event' function is working fine when I created a new event copied from an old one, and is not the reason.
Here is the exact message people receive:
403 - Access Forbidden!
You may not be able to visit this page because of:
1. an out-of-date bookmark/favourite
2. a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
3. a mistyped address
4. you have no access to this page
5. The requested resource was not found.
6. An error has occurred while processing your request.

Hi Sally
Maybe you disable user registration on your site and it causes the 403 issue with user who enter username and password on registration form to register for an account ? Could you please login to back-end of your site, go to Site -> Global Configuration, make use User Registration option is set to Yes ?
Regards,
Tuan
