Hi Bill

If you are using Joomla 2.5 or Joomla 3.0 , then you can simply download latest version, upgrade it to your site. After that, go to Events Booking -> Configuration, find the config option "Reduce Registration process", set it to Yes. After that, it will work as expected . No group billing is needed for free events anymore .
