Location

I may be missing something so would appreciate some help. I have given a user permission to create an event from the front end however the location asks to select location. If the location isn't already created there seems to be no way to create except by contacting the admin user to go and set it up. If that's the only way then the admin might aswell create the event from the back end which then defeats the object of having create event from the front end.

Have I missed something in the config?

Hi Steve

You don't miss anything in Configuration. Right now, the Event Location can only be created from back-end by administrator, the system doesn't have a feature allows you to create locations from front-end .

I agree that this feature should be added to future releases and I will implement it .

+1 here, got a client who is a bit grumpy about the fact that you can't add a location in the front end. Just a popup with a lightbox would work, reloading the dropdown on save.

Hi,

i'm just in pre-sale phase, looking whether the component achieve our needs.
This issue is very important for us, because almost all of our events have different locations and submitting events from frontend by our members is essential. Best solution would be, that location could be defined during the creation process of the event, anyway if this is happen from backend or frontend (non-essential to save the location in a separate data-table).

Could you state a point of time, when this will be implemented?
