Email newsletter

Hi,

I am using Event Booking very successfully on one of my websites. I am also running JNews. Question is, is there anyway to integrate them or indeed integrate Event Booking with any e-newsletter components so that users can be automatically subscribed according the categories they booked within?

In this case, you will need to write an Event Booking plugin to integrate Event Booking with JNews. Event Booking has a plugin which works with ACYMailing. However, the integration is just simple : when you register for event, it will add you as the subscribers in ACYMailing so that you can use ACYMailing to email these subscribers .

For your specific need, you will need to write a plugin yourself or hire someone to write it for you .

That's great, thank you. I have located the ACY Mailing plugin and installed it.

To clarify, users are automatically subscribed - is there anyway of having an opt out button the Event Registration form?

Right now, the plugin will subscribe users automatically if he register for events. There is not an option on registration form which allows him to choose to subscribe or not .

Got ACY Mailing working and the plugin is installed and enabled... all good. However, a new user registered for an event yesterday and they have not been subscribed to any of the mailing lists or assigned as a user - is there an option I need to change somewhere please?

You don't need to change anything. When users register for event, they should be added as subscribers automatically. Maybe something special on your site causing this issue. Please submit a support ticket sending me administrator and FTP account of the site so that I can check and fix the issue for you .

how to automatically send e-mail for user group (in joomla system) when you create a EVENT?

Which plugin, modul or setting of component...or needs specialy mailer component?

This feature is not supported by Events Booking. So in this case, you will have to find a mailer extension (maybe ACYMailing) and send email to users in a group manually (using that mailer extension) when you create an event.

I just noticed Joomla comes with mass mail feature which allows you to sending emails to all users in a group (or groups). Did you try to use Mass Mail feature in Joomla ?

(If you are using Joomla 2.5, then go to Users -> Mass Mail all users to use this feature.
