No email, no record in registrants after transacti

People tell me that they have signed up for an event but neither them or me get a confirmation email and they are also not registered under REGISTRATIONS. Interestingly enough the payment is captured by Paypal!!!
This only happens if they use the Paypal payment option ... the offline payment option seems to work fine.
Please help. Thank you.
PS: I am using Eventbooking 1.4.4. even though I think it should have updated to 1.4.5 as I downloaded the last file on 14th March 2012.

The latest version is 1.4.4 , 1.4.5 is still in the development, so basically, you are having latest version .
The problem might cause by a plugin on your site or your Paypal account. Could you please login to your Paypal account, access to History -> IPN History to see whether there are any IPN messages sent back to your site after users completed a registration ?

That means the IPN message is blocked on your site for some reasons. Usually, this happens if you used a security plugin like RS Firewall or AdminTools Pro. You can submit a support ticket sending me administrator and FTP account of your site so that I can check and solve it for you.
