Hi,

I had this set:

1)
Activate Shopping Cart? Yes
Prevent duplicate registration Yes

but it is still possible to subscribe twice to the same event, if you add that event to the shopping cart.

I do not want that, so I was forced to turn off the shopping cart feature.

2)

Activate Shopping Cart? NO
Prevent duplicate registration Yes
But even with shopping cart feature off, I can later subscribe to the same event

why does "Prevent duplicate registration" not work?

thanks

Hi

Basically, right now, the extension only check duplicate Registration based on User ID, not based on Email. So this feature only works if registrants are logged in when registering for the event .

1. In the latest version of the extension (1.4.4) :

- If you activate shopping cart feature, the quantity field in the cart page will be readonly and it is set to 1 (You cannot change it to prevent duplicate registration). However, as I said, the prevent duplicate registration only check user ID, so if you make a second booking, you can still register for the same event (if you are logged in) .

- If you don't use Shopping cart feature, the prevent duplicate registration feature will only works if registrants logged in (the reason explained at the beginning of this post) .

Hope it is clear to you. Please let me know if you have other questions .

Regards,

Tuan

all my events are only accessible for booking by registered (logged in) users.
it is indeed the case that the quantity field is "1" and can not be changed, however users can easy circumvent this by registering again for the same event, so the "prevent duplicate registration" is in this case useless.

Is ther no way to really prevent this? (at least for registered users?)

It is also a good idea to check on email too.

thanks.
