I've got our event up and running, and everything is going smooth. Except for two things that I think may be only my misunderstanding.
Our event:
Registrants can register as individuals (driver only) or as a group (driver plus passengers in one vehicle). Even though they register as a group, since they are in one vehicle, we count it as one registration. We have a maximum capacity of 100 vehicles, and usually end up with approximately 250 participants.
Since we need more details for drivers and not for passengers, I instruct them to register the driver as member 1 in the group and I collect information like driver's licence in the billing form, that way passengers are not asked for that information.
When I look at the Event, "# Registrants" shows me the total number of participants (drivers and passengers). For example we have 18 registrations for a total of 33 participants. As it is right now, if I set the cap for our event at 100, registration will close when we reach 100 people and not vehicles. If I set "Include Group Member in CSV export" to "NO", then it exports, in our case, just the registrants (drivers) regardless if they have passengers.
Is it possible to have EB count "# registrants" while excluding the group members, so that a group shows up as one registration? Tracking the Billing Form maybe?
When I export my CSV, some data is missing with "Include Group Member in CSV export" set to "NO". If I change that setting to "YES" then the missing data is now exported but some of the data that was previously there is now missing and some of it is still there???
If data is collected on the "Billing Form" instead of the "Group Member Form", would that change which data is included in the CSV?
