Display plugin in virtuemart category

I would like to display the registration form and event details on a virtuemart category page.
I activated the plugin, added the plugin code to the category page description.
{ebregister 1}

but the page is then completely blank.
I disable the plugin and the page content displays again.


I am using Joomla! 1.5.20
VirtueMart 1.1.6
Event Booking version 1.4.3

Please let me know what code would be causing the conflict.
