private registration - require a code entry was created by rlsdata
I would like to know if this is possible in the configuration of Event Booking. We have numerous educational events that students and attendees can register for online. One category in particular, we need the student to contact us prior to registering for events. Can we require a coupon code for some categories of events? Do I need to code this myself in php?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi
Right now, this feature available in the extension, so if you want to have it, you will need to code it yourself .
Another alternative solution is that you set Registration Access to events to Registered (only users who have account on your site can register for it). Then when students contact you, you can create an account for them and then they can login and register for the event . That might be a solution !
Regards,
Tuan

Looking for this same functionality. Is it possible to show different events based upon who logins then? Basically i'm looking for a portal where a client can login or enter an event code and get a specific list of events for that client only. I know this topic is old and would be happy to start a new one.

Hi Ryan
The private events feature will be supported in the extension in the near future. However, it will be implemented in a different way than the way you want. Basically, when you mark an event as private event, the system will generate an unique link to access to that event which you can send it to your customers so that they can access to the link to view and register for event.
I believe it will be available in the extension in about 2 or 3 more weeks from now. Right now, I am busy making it compatible with Joomla 3.0 .
