Hide event date box/table was created by jgribble
I have seen some posts on this and a suggested hack. But that earlier hack appears to be obsolete because the component was upgraded. Anyway, like other customers, I have a client who often runs events which DO NOT have a start date and start time or an END DATE and end time. It's usually a contest which takes place over the fall or spring and is judged at a convention or conference. These events go on and on for a long period of time. I have noted that I can't even publish an event without providing a start date and start time. I can live with that nuisance if there's a way to unpublish the table which shows the unwanted data. It appears to me that quite a few customers have been baffled by these issues. Under Themes I now see a toggle to to show or not show "event date." This appears to be a new feature? There's another one for event time. I have toggled both to "no," but the date and time and the unwanted little blue table won't go away. If anyone else out there has figured this out, please contact me with the current hack. This is a really a cool component, but the question always needs to be asked, what does the end user need to do? People at clubs and associations run a lot of events which don't fit into the kind of tight and clearly defined parameters which the component insists upon.

Hi
Please get the file below, unzip it, get the file and upload it to components/com_eventbooking/views/category/tmpl folder. After that, it will work as expected !
Regards,
Tuan

Please clarify a little. Is this the default.php file with the table removed? Are there other hacks which need to be done? Again, I would suggest a forum post with the instructions. That way you don't get all these repetitive questions. Thank you for the quick reply. I just need to know what you mean by "work as expected."

Hello,
I uploaded the new code and it changed nothing. The unwanted table is still showing.
