But in the email field it is showing javascript code instead of the email in plain text. My users are writing and complaining.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Infact, this is a Joomla bug (the email ). The solution is go to Extensions -> Plugins manager, move the ebregister plugin after Content - Email Cloaking . After that, the issue will be fixed !
