Hello was created by lebill
I have your component Events Booking install, and from the beginning the paypal option was not working.

I just bought the latest version today, and the paypal option still not working

I test it with the sandbox, the IPN work because you have the log in the ipn_logs.txt

BUT nothing in the registrant database, the customer pay, but the admin have no infos about it

no plus 1 in the event

and the admin and the member didn't receive any email confirmation.

It's seem it jam right after the insert in the ipn_logs.txt

But it work well with the off line payment

Thanks

Bill

Me again

Well after looking the code, I found out the registrant is save into the DB but it's not published, all the info are in the database.

But there no trace in the component admin and no email was sent to the registrant and the admin.

Also the weird thing is, in the database, in the column Published, most of them are set to NULL, and all those entry are show in the admin datagrid, all the rest are set to 0 (zero) not show in the datagrid, for me this is a big error.

Hi Bill

Could you login to your Paypal account, access to History -> IPN History to see whether there are any IPN messages send back to your site ? Where it sent to ? If not, then IPN is not enabled in your Paypal account and you will have to enable it.

Also, please note that :

1. Your site needs to be on a live server (not on localhost)

2. Your site need to be on online mode (not offline mode) .

Hi Tuan

The site is live, and the IPN is working, we have all the log in your ipn_log.txt

And yes the payment are approve by paypal in my account, anyway for this part, if the payment is pending yournsystem still allow the process, I need to change this.

Anyway, I can continue doing some print_r to see where it jam in your process

Hi Bill

All I can say is it works (it is using by many customers until now), so It is something special with your site or your Paypal account. In this case, the best way is that you submit a support ticket giving me administrator and FTP account of your site. If I cannot solve the issue within 24 hours, I will refund you money of your purchase immediately !

Regards,

Tuan

Hi Tuan

It's funny finally Marie was my co-worker (I work from home), didn't know she was here asking for the same thing. Sorry about that

BUT I just test it with my sandbox account and it still doesn't work. (in test mode)

Because in your code, to accept the transaction you search for the word "VERIFIED" in the IPN from paypal and in the ipn from the sandbox it doesn't have this word in it. The format is different

Also I don't know why you are searching for this word, you should verify that the payment_status=Completed, like your code is done now, if the payment is pending everything goes like it was Completed and the owner didn't have the money because it's pending.

Anyway I just test it with the Paypal account from the customer and this morning it work great without telling the customer he need to change something in his Paypal account.

Don't know what you did (you had the ftp access) but this morning it work without doing anything on our side or on the customer side.

Problem solve, but it sad, I don't know what was the issue here, I will compare the code from the backup with the code today

Regards

Bill
