Error 500 during upload of latest update

I tried several times to upload the latest update of Event Booking which failed each and every time when upload reached around 98% with Error 500.

I have cleaned the cache, purged expired cache and did a global checkin but did not get any different result.

Does the component need to be uninstalled before the update can be done? I am using Joomla 1.7.

Hi

I just went to your site to install latest version of the extension and didn't see any error like you said . Please note that in your site, extension installation is handled by Akeeba Backup, not Joomla core installer and That might be the reason you see the error (You can see the text Extensions installation enhanced by Akeeba Backup on installation screen). I choose Back to standard installer and didn't see the error !

Hi Tuan

Thank you for your help. This seems to be the only explanation for that error ... mind you I always have the Akeeba Restore running, even when I updated an earlier version of Event Booking and never had a problem.

So this is maybe a good point to consider to shut it off in case there is a problem.
