Drop-Down Selection Not Working

For some reason the drop-down arrow isn't working on the back-end of the event extension only. I can select by hitting the down arrow key only.

And I cannot add an event to multiple categories. Also for this component only I can't use use the slider at the side of the page to move down the page. Not sure why this is happening. Has anyone else experienced this?
